Jill Jaress wrote, produced and directed The One-Nighter. It is her second romantic comedy for Got a Laugh Entertainment [GALE.] Her short film, Someone to Love, screened at Cannes to a standing room only audience in the short film corner and won eleven laurels in additional academy qualifying and international festivals.
Jill won the WGA Producer's Access Program for The Christmas Spirit which is currently in development at GALE. She wrote for the TV series Safe At Home and a play titled Rude Awakening, which was honored as a literary work in the Writers Digest Competition and included in the Audrey Skirball-Kenis California Play Collection. She also wrote, directed and produced a series titled Breaking In for cable and a pilot for KYPA titled Star Secrets.
Got a Laugh Entertainment is also in development for the full-length feature of Someone to Love based on Jill's award winning short. A treatment for the sitcom Someone to Love is also available. Additionally she is the screenwriter of the romantic comedies Forever Yours? and Love to Steal. Ms. Jaress is also the author of Acting: Everything My Agent Never Told Me.
